Complete line for still water

Buxton is one of the world’s purest natural mineral waters. The top-ranking British mineral water comes from one of Europe’s oldest and deepest springs, the St. Ann’s spring in Buxton, Derbyshire, and is sold in still and carbonated variants. For bottling the still products in 250-ml and 500-ml PET containers, Krones has supplied a complete new line rated at 28,800 bph. Since it incorporates a blow-moulder/filler Bloc, there is no need for a rinser. The closure variants handled are flatcaps and sportscaps. The packs, ranging from a 3x2 shrinkpack to a 6x4 tray-shrinkpack, are dispatched to retailers on Chep pallets, half-size and full-size europallets.

• Blow-moulder/filler Bloc
  The Contiform S 16 stretch blow-moulding machine features 16 blow-moulding stations, each rated at 1,800 bph. Since the final blow-moulding air is re-used for pre-blowing and stretching, the bottler possesses an exceptionally energy-efficient system for producing PET bottles. In addition, the line incorporates a linear preform rinser, utilising ionised air.
  The bottler has opted for a volumetric filling system in the shape of a Volumetic VODM-PET filler, which incorporates a flow meter for accurate measuring of the fill quantities.
• Checkmat FM-K inspection unit
  Directly downstream of the filler, the compactly dimensioned Checkmat inspection unit is integrated at the conveyor, so that with the aid of a camera system over- and underfilled bottles can be detected and rejected.
• Contiroll HS wrap-around labeller
  High-speed capability with a single labelling station – that’s what the
  Contiroll HS provides. The label web reel holder, with its servodrive, ensures immediate start-up and deceleration of reel unwinding. The servo-driven cutting unit provides the requisite flexibility for labelling different container sizes. 
• Checkmat E inspection unit
   Label position and label type are immediately monitored inline with another Checkmat inspection unit. 
• Variopac TFS non-returnables packers
• Depending on the production programme involved, the packers create multipacks wrapped in shrink-film, or with tray or pad support.
• Pressant Universal 1N palletiser
  This machine, with its height-adjustable loading station featuring a shutter-type head, handles 188 layers an hour, and can be quickly and easily changed over to new layer patterns when handling different products or packs.
• SynCo bottle conveyors and MultiCo pack transport
  The conveyor systems, customised to suit the line concept involved, excel in terms of gentle bottle and pack transport. During brief line halts, buffering sections accommodate the products, thus ensuring optimum line operation.
